Today we’re talking dressings. Dressings for salads, pasta dishes, entrées and more. Dressing is so important that the success of a dish depends on it. You can change the flavour of a dish radically simply by using a different dressing.
Vinaigrette is a sauce based on vinegar. Mix three parts of vinegar – though sometimes lemon is used – with 3 parts of olive oil plus a pinch of salt and pepper. This is the basic formula; from here everybody can be as creative as they like: apple, orange, mustard, yoghurt, different nuts and so on.
The best salad cannot lack nuts, which is why we have opted for delicious Frutos del Sol walnuts. All you have to do is chop the ingredient thoroughly and it’s all ready. You’ll also be using Amandín Walnut Cream to give the dressing a distinctive twist. If you want to, you can do the same with hazelnut or almond cream. So there you have it: you can get by with a simple oil, vinegar and honey vinaigrette or you can triumph with a delicious walnut cream vinaigrette.
- Mixed lettuce
- Cherry tomatoes
- Sweet corn
- Cream cheese
- Frutos del Sol Walnuts
- For the vinaigrette:
- 9 tablespoons of olive oil
- 3 tablespoons of apple vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of Amandín Organic Walnut Cream
Mix all the ingredients for the salad according to taste. For best results, chop up the Frutos del Sol walnuts.
For the vinaigrette. Mix the oil and vinegar together well until they emulsify. Season and add the walnut cream. Mix well and dress the salad.
